May 15, 2013 I have a Kinect for Windows and I would like to connect it to my Mac laptop with OSX 10.7.5. I would like to use openNI as the driver. OpenNI's website lists 'OpenNI 2.1 Beta (OS X)' however the source-code page does not list install instructions. Are they found someplace else? OpenNI/NITE Installation on Windows May 2014: PrimeSense was bought by Apple at the end of April, and the OpenNI.org website was shut down. Fortunately, several sites have set up archives of the old OpenNI and NITE software, such as Simple-OpenNI and Structure Sensor. When looking through these archives, it's important to remember that the code examples in my book use OpenNI version 1.
I am trying to install kinect on my macOS Sierra (10.12).I have used the explanation on greenfoot, so I downloaded Openni, KinectDriver and NITE, extracted them got to the unzipped directory through the terminal and tried to install using the command: sudo ./install.sh
This is what I get as a result though:
I have tried to find a solution but i didn't manage to find something that could help me for Sierra.

It's rootless issue. Since 10.11, Apple don't give you root power to install the code. Try the second link to see whether you can get the root power back for installation.https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/193368/what-is-the-rootless-feature-in-el-capitan-really
