Quicken Windows is a stale, old product built and patched and barely held together. It needs a total re-write from the ground up, but I’m guessing the Quicken programming staff is so tiny they can’t get anything productive done. The word 'groups' is throwing me, not sure what you mean by that. Are you using the word 'group' because you're thinking of scheduled transactions as a 'group' of transaction running into the future? If so, see below.
To create a monthly scheduled transaction, you can either right-click on an existing transaction and choose 'Schedule Selected Transaction', or you can use menu Transactions > New Scheduled Transaction. When the new scheduled transaction first comes up, the date setting pane will be open with the frequency defaulted to monthly. Make your choices in that pane and then continue filling in as any other transaction.
In the account settings (menu Accounts > Settings), you can adjust how many instances of the future scheduled transactions are displayed in the register (show next occurrence, all in next X days, or none).Quicken Mac Subscription; Quicken Mac user since the early 90s - edited September 2017

This is the frustrating thing about the mac version of Quicken. In the Windows version there is something known as monthly scheduled group transactions. It allows one to group together monthly transactions. I have someone helping me with Quicken but her version is windows and she can utilize this, whereas the Mac version doesn't have it. I'm not familiar with the Windows version, so I can't help with the comparison. But if you want to see all the scheduled transactions for all accounts in one place, click the Bills tab in the blue bar at the top. It's for all scheduled transactions, not just bills. This may be what you're looking for. Once on the Bills tab, you can use the filters there to filter by date, account(s) and/or type. And you can use the search box (upper right) to limit what's listed.Thank you so much for responding. I appreciate the help with the Opening Balance. A group of transactions are transactions that share the same account, payment frequency, and time, e.g., pay from Citi Checking the first Monday of the week, every week. Quicken Windows has a dialog window that allows you to apply the same account and the same frequency to a group of transactions all at once.Thank you so much for responding. I'd be happy to see this feature in Quicken Mac although I'm not sure how often I'd use it.
Maybe Ricko or one of the SuperUsers can think of a way to emulate this feature.

Nothing comes to mind immediately to emulate this. On the other hand, I don't see it as much of a time saver for most people.
